ABOUT

BIO

I was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania - where a love of rivers, sports, and the art of creating something new is part of our DNA. I have always been an extrovert; connecting with humans from all walks of life brings me great joy.

While I couldn’t have dreamed up the breadth of impactful organizations I’ve worked with, I always pictured a mission-oriented career. I pursued a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University of Notre Dame, where an “Introduction to Public Health” course widened my perspective to addressing population-level needs. I followed this interest to Atlanta to seek a Master’s Degree of Public Health in Epidemiology from Emory University’s Rollins School of Public Health.

At Emory, my passion for using data to help understand and address complex social challenges was fueled, including through a dream opportunity to intern at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. After graduating I pursued a Presidential Management Fellowship with the CDC’s Division of Healthcare Quality Promotion.

In 2010 I moved to my favorite city, New York, to work with the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene. There I oversaw program measurement and evaluation at the intersection of housing, mental health, and HIV/AIDS. I realized a skill for creating compelling visuals connecting data, strategy, and programs.

I pursued an opportunity with Johnson & Johnson’s corporate social responsibility team, known as Global Community Impact, where I helped build an approach to impact measurement across a diverse portfolio of philanthropic giving, impact investing, and employee engagement. During a strategic transformation, I helped embed a picture of measurable impact from the start.

In 2019 I was inspired to start my own consulting practice. I am grateful to run this from beautiful Brooklyn, NY, where I live with my husband and our two young sons. When we’re not riding bikes around our city, we are exploring the beaches and mountains of New York and beyond. Besides spending time with family and friends in nature, I love reading, traveling, and Steelers football.
